Wheat germ oil is obtained from wheat germ (Triticum aestivum L.). It is expeller pressed without the use of a chemical solvent. Wheat Germ is rich in octacosanol – a potent source of energy prized by athletes, it is also rich in naturally occurring antioxidants including vitamin E & beta carotene & also contains naturally occurring phosphatides & phytosterols with assist in the digestion of fats. It has excellent skin care properties due to its low odour & offers ease of spreading, great penetration & significant moisture retention combined with its high nourishing properties. It is widely used in Anti-Ageing Cosmetics, Toiletries Soaps, OTC Pharmaceuticals, Sun Care & Nutraceuticals to enhance cellular health. It can also be used directly as massage oil. Wheat germ oil is highly rich in linoleic acid (omega-6). This fatty acid is essential because the body cannot synthesize it. It is known for the important role it plays in the structure of cell membranes. It reduces transepidermal water loss by restoring the hydrolipidic film.

Wheat germ oil is perfect for face and body massage because of its fine, smooth texture. The oil is good for nourishing and protecting damaged, dry, and mature skin because of the high vitamin E concentration, which also protects the oil from oxidation and degeneration. Wheat germ oil assists in re-sealing moisture and eliminates surplus sebum, which can cause acne, pimples, and other skin issues. When applied to the skin, it does not leave behind a greasy feeling.
